Some might think that working at the Firefly is a “chill” job, because of the environment we provide for our community. However, creating this environment takes a lot of hard work! Our staff maintain a balance between being able to create a safe and caring environment while also working hard to create amazing drinks and food. Barista Application
Being a Firefly barista requires a special kind of person. You love to work hard, can multi task, tell jokes, and make it look easy! We offer excellent training for our baristas to hand make all of our coffee drinks. You must be physically able to stand for 5-8 hours at a time and lift 50 lbs. We require at least a 1 year commitment. While we love having people with coffee experience, any food service experience is also a plus!
We are hoping to hire to start training mid-June. Part time to start, with more shifts available coming in August!
Kitchen Crew Application
The Firefly kitchen is a scratch kitchen that focuses on unique and affordable breakfast and lunch. Attention to detail, passionate about creating excellent menus, problem solving, and going above and beyond to support your team mates is essential to working at the Firefly Kitchen.This is a great job for someone starting out in the food industry. We make everything from scratch which includes baking with a sourdough starter, curing and smoking meats, making handmade sausage and all of the menu items are made to order. During the fall and winter, we make soups from scratch every day. You must be able to multitask and do everything from washing dishes and scrubbing floors, putting away deliveries, keeping the kitchen stocked and organized, as well as making amazing food and serving customers. This is a fast paced, energetic working environment.

We are looking to fulfill two full time positions that will be available starting the beginning of August. We will embark on training these new candidates in July. There is a possibility to hire in June for lesser hours to get trained up for full time starting in August.
The kitchen positions require a commitment of a year to be part of the team. We invest a lot in training and pay very well for the right people. This is not a "chill" job: it requires passion and hard work. You will be asked to bring your best self every day and to work hard and make the world a better place through serving excellent food to your community.
Preference will be give to candidates who are wishing to pursue the culinary arts as a career choice. The Firefly kitchen is a great place to practice all of your skills.
Bar Backs work weekdays from 3pm-6pm, weekends from 10am-5pm. This is an entry level position at Firefly. The bar backs assist baristas and kitchen staff, as well as making sure the front of house is cleaned and bussed. Job duties include cleaning bathrooms, doing laundry, restocking, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out trash and putting away deliveries. You must be able to lift 50 lbs. Many of our bar backs have moved up to being excellent baristas and kitchen staff, so this is a great start to working at Firefly!

The Firefly Bakery has made the Firefly a desired destination for our community. All of our baked goods are made in house with our own tried and true recipes. We have developed these recipes over the past 27 years.
We are looking for a talented, passionate baker who can partner with our head baker to make Firefly baked goods continue to be what they have been for years. This is a great job for someone pursuing the pastry arts and wishes to gain experience making a variety of baked goods.
The current opening is for 20 hours a week, but could be more depending on experience.
Preference is given to candidates who are wanting to pursue a career in pastry arts, or who have baking experience. We require a year commitment for our candidates and pay well for the right person!
